What is a pawn shop?
A pawn shop, also referred to as a collateral lender, provides short-term, collateral-based loans. You bring in personal items for collateral, and the item is held in a secure safe until it is retrieved. Most pawn shops also sell previously owned items at discounted prices. At Elite Jewelry and Loan, we specialize in jewelry, watches, diamonds, and precious metals.
How would I benefit from visiting Elite Jewelry & Loan?
There are many reasons to visit us! Looking for a great deal on an engagement ring, luxury watch, or designer jewelry? You'll find amazing prices at 50–80% below retail. Need quick cash? We offer collateral loans — just bring an item of value and receive cash instantly, no credit check needed. Want to sell old jewelry, gold, or a luxury watch? Do you have engagement rings?
Yes! We carry a beautiful selection of engagement rings, wedding sets, and loose certified diamonds (GIA, EGL, IGI). Our inventory is always changing, so stop by to see what's available. We offer stunning rings at a fraction of retail price, and our GIA-trained staff can help you find the perfect ring.
How do you determine the value of my item?
Our professional staff, trained by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), uses industry-standard methods to assess your items. For jewelry, we evaluate the metal type, gemstone quality, craftsmanship, and brand. For watches, we consider the brand, model, condition, and market demand. We always strive to offer fair, competitive prices based on current market values.
How do I know the diamonds are real?
All of our diamonds are certified by leading gemological authorities — GIA (Gemological Institute of America), EGL (European Gemological Laboratory), or IGI (International Gemological Institute). Each certified diamond comes with documentation verifying its authenticity, cut, clarity, color, and carat weight. Our GIA-trained staff can walk you through any certification.
How can I be sure the merchandise isn't stolen?
We take this very seriously. Every transaction is reported to local law enforcement, and all items are held for a mandatory waiting period before being offered for sale. We require a valid government-issued photo ID for every transaction and maintain detailed records. We work closely with local police departments to ensure all merchandise is legitimate.
What do I need to bring to get a loan?
You'll need to bring the item you'd like to use as collateral and a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport). If you have any documentation for the item — such as a certified appraisal, certificate of authenticity, or original receipt — it's helpful to bring those as well, though they're not required.
Will a pawn loan affect my credit?
No. We do not check your credit, nor do we base your loan amount on your credit history. Your loan is based solely on the value of your collateral item. If you choose not to repay the loan, you simply forfeit the item — there are no additional fees, no collections, and we never report to credit agencies. Your credit score is never affected.
How long is a pawn loan? Can I extend it?
Our standard pawn loan term is 90 days. You can pick up your item anytime during this period by repaying the loan plus interest. If you need more time, you can extend your loan for an additional 90-day period by simply paying the interest due. There's no limit on how many times you can extend. If you decide not to retrieve your item, you owe nothing further.
How are my items kept safe during a loan?
Your items are stored in our secure, monitored safe and vault. Each item is carefully tagged, catalogued, and stored individually to prevent any damage. We treat every item with the utmost care and respect — we understand that your valuables often have both financial and sentimental value. Your items are fully insured while in our possession.
